When F5 needed a trade show solution for the VELOS platform, shipping the production hardware was impractical due to weight, cost, and asset risk. Because the system accommodates twice as many blades as traditional server chassis, its physical scale is central to the product story. I developed a full-scale replica that preserved that impact while translating the system into a lightweight, modular display built for transport and reuse. Using aluminum tubing, printed imagery, and structural problem-solving, the design produced a convincing 1:1 model that could be disassembled, shipped, and reassembled efficiently.
I also designed a custom multi-level rolling display table to support either the replica or the 300-pound production chassis, along with a blade component. I sourced and managed a fabrication vendor to bring the design into production. The result was a flexible platform that improved mobility, elevated product presentation, and supported repeated trade show use.
